Edited one day agoI thought this pressing was pretty good, nothing overwhelming but pretty good sound and opened up stereo-wide nicely. But I did notice a little IGD on side 2 of lp1.
Great packaging with bonus postcards, posters etc. Won this in a competition thanks to Record Hub and Nova FM in Ireland, so a freebie for me. What I would say, is I am never really over excited with Lennon's music post-Beatles, just pleasant hippy vibes and nothing more.- My copy is great. Was a bit dirty, but I clean all my new records anyways before playing. No issues with noise or warping, nice packaging.
I have a NM original US pressing, and this remix clearly is better sounding. Great job! - My first copy I ordered was slightly warped with a huge scratch on it. Can’t believe. I contacted them and they sent me another copy. Which was again slightly warped and had scratches on it. Just terrible. This whole lp set was a huge cash grab.
- Surface noise plus why is the artwork so DARK, it lacks the claritry and sharpness of the original.
I also had issues, stitching, among others ("The Ultimate Mixes": Side 1, track 1; side 2 track 1, "Out-Takes" side 1, tracks 2 and 3), and wrinkled poster--- I've recently started ordering 2 copies at once, so I can usually keep one and return the other, sometimes both... I find it annoying.- Edited one month agoI ran mine through the Degritter and played the two LPs. I can report that they sound great, and very quiet. Maybe I'm just lucky, but there it is. Both discs were flat & clean. There was one fingerprint and a couple of smudges but they came of when the records were cleaned.
Se are so Sorry again to open a GZ album with dust, fingerprints, crackles and one warped.
Do not get the idea. The factory dig a Big Big Hole with bad quality. Its not 1970 any more. Todays vinyl customers purchase exactly to receive top Class quality and Care for the collection. Its vnot stacked up and a all records to be put back inbsleeves on sunday afternoon after party night
Every time We purchase from now, We consult Discogs to get quality like Optimal bbMedia Germany or others in same High standard
To my ears, in my system/room, I prefer - overall - this reissue/remix to my NM UK original pressing. I was fortunate that my pressing is flat, centred, and quiet-ish.
I felt the same about the 'Plastic Ono Band' reissue/remix.
In both cases I felt - on balance - the texture and solidity of the imaging, and the tonal balance, were superior.
Conversely, I felt both the UK OG and the EMI 100 pressings of 'Imagine' are much more musical and enjoyable than the remix/reissue.- The second LP is listed as having the 11 minute You Are Here outtake. But it is edited to be under 6 minutes.
My copy is slightly warped. But very quiet and sounds great. 
Slight warp on both discs but vinyl quiet and plays well. Will keep and use my flattener.
