First time I heard this on Fabio's show I was gobsmacked by how much this had 'classic' written all over it. Such a unique and wonderful slice of dance music. ❤️
Calibre said in an interview published around the time when Drop it down got released that he did not even meet Fats or invited him for a studio session... Calibre was just visiting A Sides in his studio and they went through some unused accapellas Fats had recorded months or even years earlier at A Sides' and Calibre borrowed that dat tape and began building a track around certain of these vocal fragments and the result was Drop it down...
