Reviews
- Not the best separation to be honest. Maybe it could be seen as muddy? Lovely clean vinyl and poly sleeves though.
- Great sounding record. Disagree with it sounding muddy or flat. I found it to be very dynamic and definitely better than the CD.
Recommend buying this record - I've had this for a few years now, and it's still one of the cleanest really good sounding records I've gotten in the last 5 years. Always an enjoyable listening experience.
- The original pressing has the best sound, but it still sounds compressed and is only slightly better than the CD.
The MOV sounds as compressed as the CD, and muddy. Stick with the CD. - This pressing is awesome, crisp and powerful and flat as a pancake like all my MOV pressings, got nothing else to compare it to though .
- I own all three pressing of this: the 2005 original pressing, the MOV pressing and the 2019 reissue. The sound of the MOV pressing is quite close to the original pressing. At least a lot closer than the 2019 reissue which is noticable compressed in comparison. The MOV was cut nearly as hot as the 2005 one. The 2019 reissue was not cut that hot. The original pressing has a tiny bit of surface noise between the tracks or in very quiet passages due to the mixed coloured vinyl, I assume. Noticable when listening with headphones mainly.
- This record is sick, sounds fantastic. The vocals are where they should be and crisp. Very good pressing.
- Does not sound as good as the original 2005 pressing. This has lower dynamic range and muddier sound. Buy the that one instead.
- Edited 5 years agoThis pressing sounds crisp and quiet even with my very basic setup. By far the best sounding Queens vinyl that I own.
To be honest LtP wasn't my favorite Queens album but after listening to it on this vinyl, it made me appreciate the album a lot more. - I note the upcoming reissue is being (wisely) stretched out to 4 sides instead of 3, and has an extra track (Infinity) into the bargain. Why couldn't they have taken this kind of care with the Era Vulgaris reissue? It makes zero sense.
