Eclectic and cinematic, "High Noon" is an uptempo breaks track that was heavily influenced by the big beat scene of the time. It's built around a giant psych-rock guitar riff (Giant Crab's 1968 "The Answer Is No") and reverberating drums (Curtis Knight on Hendrix's 1968 "Flashing"), which Shadow interweaves with gentler samples of folk-rock piano (Rena Sinakin's 1973 "Lover, I Love You"), jazz-rock organ (Hardin & York's 1971 "Cowboy") and ambient synthesizer (Michael Garrison's 1982 "Airborn"). Maybe needed a vocal to take it to the next level. ★★★★☆

"Organ Donor" is uptempo, instrumental hip hop akin to a U.S. version of British big beat. Giorgio Moroder's 1972 "Tears" donated the organ, whilst Shadow brought the dextrous turntablism in the second half. ★★★★☆

Curtis Knight on drums for High Noon . . Jimi Hendrix certainly let the drummer give it some! ;)

Organ donar is probably the best "short" DJ Shadow track, basically the organ sample off endtroducing stretched into a punchy dancefloor filler that sounds like nothing else and will have people demanding to know what it is.

Crap cover art, comes on the flimsiest vinyl I ever did see, and the tittle track aint much,
              BUT
the overhaul/extension of Organ doner makes it worth the cash. This track (original and mix) highlights Shadows Genius to the fullest.
