"High Noon" is an uptempo breaks track built around a giant psych-rock guitar riff (Giant Crab's "The Answer Is No") and reverberating drums (Curtis Knight on Hendrix's "Flashing"). These are interweaved with gentler samples of folk-rock piano (Rena Sinakin's "Lover, I Love You"), jazz-rock organ (Hardin & York's "Cowboy") and ambient synthesizer (Michael Garrison's "Airborn") to produce an unusual mix of drama and elegance. (7)

"Organ Donor" is one of Shadow's best uptempo works and features his trademark dexterous turntablism. Giorgio Moroder's psych-orchestral "Tears" donated the organ, whilst the drums were loaned from New Breed's psych-pop "Someone". The "Extended Overhaul" single version is catchier than the album version, thanks to the rasping, zig-zaggy mouth organ melody from Supersister's prog-experimental "Judy Goes On Holiday". (7)

Both tracks fitted right in with the UK big beat scene of the time, with their loud, uptempo break-beats, eclectic sampling and pop-song structure. Reached #22 in the UK singles chart.

Curtis Knight on drums for High Noon . . Jimi Hendrix certainly let the drummer give it some! ;)

Organ donar is probably the best "short" DJ Shadow track, basically the organ sample off endtroducing stretched into a punchy dancefloor filler that sounds like nothing else and will have people demanding to know what it is.

Crap cover art, comes on the flimsiest vinyl I ever did see, and the tittle track aint much,
              BUT
the overhaul/extension of Organ doner makes it worth the cash. This track (original and mix) highlights Shadows Genius to the fullest.
