- Hey can someone please reply to this comment when the news breaks about a vinyl release? I get tired checking their website every 9 months for the last 18 years.
- Edited 6 years agoI eagerly await the day when this bundle of warm, fuzzy, yet pretty damn haunting songs- along with its very very necessary counterpart Falling Through a Field- is pressed on a nice 12" platter.* Tobacco- if you are reading this- do it!
*or two! - This is the last album that has the eeries beautiful vintage organ. I love their work and songs but i've always liked there old BMSR stuff better.
- Edited 17 years agoOne of the best of 2004 without a doubt. Since picking this up 3 weeks ago, I've not let it leave the cd player once. Absolutely classic material from this mysterious group. Although similar to the works of Air and Boards of Canada, this album has a unique charm all it's own. It's like playing a classic game of Contra or some backyard football on a sunny day. Warm fuzzy feelings shoot out of the speakers and knock you on your back only to sweep you off to dreamland. Start a people is a classic album for any fan of melodic nostalgia.
