Purchased this album new and it was perfect out of the gate. This is def one of the best presses out there post 2000. The sound on this is pure when needed and raw and live sounding on the tracks needed. Overall an excellent example of modern record pressing. IMO.
Several copies shipped to me through Walmart before I received a flat pressing. The sound quality is nice. No clicks, ticks, or pops. No hissing. The sound is actually wide, clean and clear.
So it seems like I‘m the only one that got a Monday pressing which is a pity. Lots (and I mean LOTS) of crackles and pops, even after several cleaning cycles on professional equipment. Furthermore, volume is quite low. Slight distortion on dynamic vocal parts, too.
This was one of my first Neil Young listenings ever, and man does this pressing sound great! It sounds very open, and it almost feels like you can hear every little bit of the acoustics on this album. I don't have an original to compare this to, but I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking! I found my copy for $26 bucks at a local B&N. Shop local if possible though!!!
Awesome quality, in as well audio as quality aspect. Great dynamics, crystal clear sound and immaculate vinyl Great pressing. Chris Bellman made a masterpiece of this album. Not to forget the stunning sleeve. Audiophile quality for a decent price. Oh yeah.....no discussion about about Neil's achievement.
I had to set treble to 75% to feel it cristal clear. I’ve asked amazon to change my copy. My system is quite decent and this doesnt sound good overall.
