Edited 4 years agoThe last PMG worth its salt. A return to some of the aesthetics,melodic content and atmospheres that Still Life and perhaps First Circle held like a torch in the dying embers of progressive jazz. The entire ensemble functions as one creative entity feeding off one anothers creativity. What you get folks is a slice of creative melodicism unbeknownst to the jazz world since mid electric period Miles.
I saw the group on this tour and can testify to the level of devotion and passion of each and every musician gave to their performance. Too bad this was the last album the group would make worth Lyle's unworldly like creative input. It really is worth seeking out and seriously taking a good listen to.
