- A tiny bit of surface noise after a good clean, but otherwise sounds really nice. Cranked it up for Blue Rondo and it took me away!
- It sounds really great, it is very similar to the AP, 8192 - similar dynamics, maybe a little bit brighter in the treble region than AP, with same amount of detail, basically the same fullness of piano.
Flat, silent pressing.
I am EU resident, so I have German pressing.
Same matrix/runout data as the US one. Cut by J. Powell.
No way it is AAA, sounds too clinic, however Sony is doing great job with its vinyl releases.
For the price it is a bargain. - Wish they used the original cover and label. Disc is flat no surface noise. Worth the price if you can live without audiophilia.
- Edited 2 months agoMy copy came with a very large pressing defect mark that makes track 1 skip all the way through, had to return and replace. No issues with copy #2, all that’s included here is the vinyl inside a white paper-polylined sleeve
Otherwise this is a fantastic pressing for $20USD. I’m holding onto this for until I can upgrade to a better one day though.
