"Is That Your Bitch/Chick" was rumoured to be the fourth single of Jigga's Vol 3. album but Jay-Z gave this track to his protogé Memphis Bleek. While Memphis Bleek's additional verse isn't bad, this version omits the brilliant verse by Twista. Jay-Z's flow on this harkens back to his original double-timey flow in the early '90s when he rhymed must faster in a style similar to someone such as Chip Fu of Fu Schickens. It was a real change to the strictly East Coast joints he had been spiting on since '96. Vol 3. had a lot of bounce and most of that was thanks to Timbaland who was at the top of his game back in '99.

He delivers a beat that is equally Southern Bounce but is equally prototype-Grime and it's one of those joints that can still rock the party. Jay-z has been using "Is That Yo Bitch/Chick" in his setlists for most of this decade but it's interesting how nowadays he has Memphis Bleek spit his verse on the regular beat and then it usually changes to some other beat. He notably did this in '06 at the Albert Hall where he performed his verse on the Forward riddim and on the '08 Glastonbury festival where he did it over "Smack My Bitch Up".
