- Honestly, I'm not sure what magic some folks seem to have been expecting from this pressing to make demos not sound like demos anymore. It's a great album, it sounds exactly as it's supposed to, and it's generally available for under $20. It's a winner.
- Considering the album was unmastered when it was first released, it sounds pretty decent. Fun to see some of the projects Dave was working on during his Nirvana days
- I'm aware this album is essentially demos and I like the sound of this album but this pressing is not enjoyable to listen to. I don't know the technicalities of it (mastering, compression, mp3 to vinyl rip etc) but it just doesn't sound as good as the CD to me.
- El sonido en general es nítido y limpio, sin embargo la compresión que tiene es considerable. Por otro lado, un inserto no hubiese estado mal.
- The compression is off the scale. This is the dullest sounding recording in my collection, which is ironic, given Grohl’s obsession with quality sound.
- Complete agreement with previous comments. My copy is flat, clean, whisper quiet, and sounds good, although virtually indistinguishable from the CD. As one of my favorite albums, I don't mind spending $15 on a quality, good sounding pressing from Amazon, but you could easily just stick w/ the CD. Nothing special about this pressing.
- Good quality all around. The sound quality is as good as can be expected from the source material they had to work with. No complaints.
- Remember something: the original recording of this album wasn't mastered when it came out in 1995. The first FF album is a demo Dave put together without the intention of releasing it, thus (the demos) sounded good without the need to be remastered. That's why the album sounds in such peculiar way. Still, CB did a great job lacquering this as for all the FF reissues.
