Reviews
- Edited 24 days agoAs for the previous "Court & Sparks demos" it's a very quiet and clean pressing, with minimal pops, clics or cracks.
The hot foil silver font on the cover is a nice touch and I love the beautiful limo shot picture on the front cover.
Tracks, especially "Black Crow" and "Blue Motel Room" give new lights to the original songs.
A must-have for any Joni fans!
I hope Joni continues to release demos in future archive box-sets. Maybe acoustic demos of "Dog Eat Dog" next time ?! - Stunning pressing. Superb sonic clarity. Not a single hiss. Such a magnificent companion piece to the original album.
- I wish there were more of these separate albums of studio tracks available separately. The CD boxes just include too much live material that I'm personally just not interested in.
- Sounds amazing the album is already one of the best in her discography and this record makes the album sound even more intimate. Definitely pick it up if you can.
- I agree with previous comments. The sound stage is excellent cut by Bernie Grundman. Also the quality of the recording is clean void of any surface noise. This album is what I wanted, glad to have it, although I have the archive box set. One of my favourite of all time albums.
- i was not expecting this record to sound so amazing, holy shit! it played flat and clear, literally ZERO surface noise. it was such a pleasant listening experience, i'm still in awe as i'm writing this! i'm so glad i picked this up at my LRS. it is truly a record that belongs in your collection if you're a joni fan!
- The sound on this pressing is just incredible. Like Joni is sitting in my living room playing guitar. Get this one if you can! One of the best sounding records in my collection.
- This is absolutely stunning. Probably one of the finest sounding pressings in my collection : crisp, crystal clear mastering and perfectly quiet. The disc is heavy and flat. Joni's voice and guitar sound super warm. I saw some people complaining about this getting a standalone release but this is a superb collection and a perfect companion to the original album. Also the cover is amazing ! Top notch release !
