Reviews
Show All 15 Reviews- Really good pressing. Super quiet, dynamic, and clear. I find it to have good separation and is nice and punchy. My only complaint is the bass/drums/low end are a little thin. Mids/highs are very bright and are a bit overpowering at times, but I also think that is just how this album has always sounded. Sound overall is great and is an excellent pressing and fun listen.
- Great album, but the price gouging on this is shameful. Especially considering Hawkins isn't even on the record.
- I had high expectations based on other reviews but I was a little underwhelmed considering Bob and Chris were behind the master. It’s mostly noise free but it just doesn’t have the punch and clarity I’d hope from such an iconic rock record. The sound is strong enough that I’m glad I have it but I likely won’t revisit it often.
- Cant compare this to the original pressing but I have to guess this reissue is just as good or maybe better. Aside from the packaging, the records themselves are absolutely amazing! The sound is dynamic, clear, and has no surface noise. Do not spend your hard earned money on an original pressing unless you are a collector or a diehard fan of this album. Not only a fantastic pressing, but an alt rock masterpiece!
- Edited 2 years agoI am not sure about this one. I kind of agree with Vyma. I kind of feel like in the remastering they turned up the guitar and vox and kind of muted the drums and bass. I want to hear other presses to see.
- Someone must explain me what the hell this press is it? The first lp sounds weak like a cd, the second lp sounds really beautifully and much warmer than the first lp, why???
- 2019 Review. This pressing is absolutely perfect. The sound is huge and doesn't hurt your ears at higher volumes. Packaging is still the same, very basic, but the goods are what is pressed onto the Vinyl.
