Reviews
Picked up a VG++ for $13. Was hesitant to pay double digits for a copy even though I like the album. Dynamic, punchy, clear. Would have gladly paid $20. Recommended.- Hooo boy. Tea For One is a dark horse track
- I have a well used copy which I inherited from my father. It has some pretty severe surface scratching, and playback is full of crackling, but if you're able to separate those sounds in your ear's-mind and distinguish the recording that's there, it's incredible. JPJ's bass smacks you in the face and thunders throughout the whole album. I know it's technically audiophile sin to incorporate an equalizer, but I had to cut the 60hz band on mine aprox -1db and boost the 400hz +2db just so it didn't drown out the rest of the music. To my ear that made the sound profile equivalent to that of the modern streaming versions available on music listening platforms. Possibly one of top 3 Zep albums for me
This is a beautiful sounding Led Zep album, everithing is just fine and well done.
Surprisingly i found this record in my local record store by just 26.00$ and wow this pressing still sound like in day one with perfects dynamics.- My runout is similar to variant 3, but on side B my number is ST-SS-763560-J instead of E
- My Matrix/Runout is similar as are all my cover and inner sleeve features. My label is slightly different looking. Is this still the same pressing?
- Does anyone know who the Tom is referring to in the runout etching? And is the Presswell the only plant that used those plates?
