Show All 14 Reviews- Black Keys are psychedelic rock for people who don't know that they actually enjoy psychedelic rock. Also I knocked Firestone out of the state playoffs with a sweet ass goal back in the day.
- Little Black Submarine is a great track.
Beside that, bass disappear on side-A of the vinyl pressing.
Side-B sound far better but still poorer than digital…
I expected higher pressing quality from such rock band - The record sounds fine, not awesome. Great band and great songs. Althought in this album they started to change their music, I definitely like it as I have always like The Black Keys.
- Damn,tough critics out there.
My review is for this particular pressing and in my opinion sounds amazing..says right on the cover to Play Loud and when you do you will hear
just how impressive it is.Bernie always delivers! - What a mediocre album, definitely not worth it all. Very commercial, basic, easy listening, it does not trascends in any aspect.
- The sound quality on this to me is mediocre like some others have said. Some songs sound good to me like Little Black Submarines and Sister, while Gold on the Ceiling doesn't sound that great. Despite this having a lot of big hits on it this probably one of my least favorite albums of theirs.
- I had to return the first copy since it was very warped. The replacement is a good record overall. Not the greatest, but it is a good sounding record.
- I recently ordered this album from Nonesuch Records and my package did not include the CD within the gate fold. Not really a problem for me as I was more interested in the vinyl than the CD, but posting this in case anyone else receives the same on their order.
- Edited 5 years agoJust a warning; this pressing is pretty terrible. I just A-Bed it against the digital recording and the stereo image is much smaller, really muddy bass output (weird that more subsonics have been added to a vinyl pressing: it usually the opposite) and very quiet - need to turn it up much more than my other records, bringing up the noise floor. A real shame.
- This is a great album. I feel like they haven't lost anything yet. Brothers, Attack and Release and Thickfreakness are better.
