The vinyl is flat and quiet. And play fluently. The sound quality is ok-good. But not great.

Got my Copy today. Cover Reproduction is very good, the Picture might be scaled but on the first Impact it is fine. Lyric Sheet with the Burning Heart in grey on the Backside is also really good. Polylined white Innersleeve makes it complete. The Vinyl itself looks really nice. It is flat, centered and clean. Everythings fine here. What I really love is the fine quality Paper of the Labels. Some Reissues just use 80g Paper for your Homeprinter but these are high Quality, light glossy Labels that softly bend on the Vinyl structure. nice, nice.

So how does it sound? (I am using an early 80s Philips High-End-System, the Black Tulip. AH280Pre/AH380Power/AF829 Turntable with the GP422 Cartridge and the Original SST-Stylus. Output on 4 Philips 495 Speakers! :-)) You will like the Way it sounds on first Playback. Absolutely dead silent unwarped Wax, great! No Crackles, no Pops, no Skips, just perfect here. You must turn up the Volume a bit more (like many other ReIssues these Days) and it becomes more and more enjoyable. Instruments Seperation is okay, The Singing Voice could be a bit louder. Details are fine but do not expect a new Listening Experience from this Release.

Then I decided to compare this Release directly to the 1992 European CD Release, playing it simultaneous (I use a Philips CD650 with a TDA1541 S1 Tuning). After the first switchings from Phono to CD and back it was clear to the Ear that this Vinyl Version loses this Contest. The Vinyl sounds less brighter and and bit flater than the CD. More Details and Air on the initial CD. I am sorry, but this is audible on the first round. But still nice to have it for a good Price. Collector's Item.

Discogs isn't what it used to be, it's become a shopping mall where you just put products up and try to sell them.
