Picked this up on a trip to NYC late 90s. Recommended to me by someone working at Frankie Bones' record shop. Still one of my favourite KDJ productions.

All of the old kdj stuff is pressed really well. I had trouble with the tracking of the first two I picked up, but after a little adjustment the played perfectly. These are all pressed by ara records in Detroit one of the last pressing plants left that always make quality vinyl.

This was the first Moodymann track I remember hearing. I remember I was more into techno stuff at the time but the staff at Eastern Bloc were playing it and every time I stopped listening to my pile I was like, that's a niiice groove. Fuck, must've been around 1997 or something.

Bought back then and still enjoyed now. Thank you Kenny.

Moodymann takes Gil Scott-Heron's poetry, a loop from Idris Muhammed's "Turn This Mutha Out" and adds his own touch of magic to create a masterful piece of slow-burning House.

Contemporary blues music for those that know their house. This is beautiful melancholic 4/4 music from Detroit that touches yo' soul. Best played late at night.
