- Edited 5 years agoTop gear when it came out, still top gear now (2019), and I guess will also be top gear 10, 20, 30 (and beyond) years from now too!
Wish toytronic did a vinyl version, understand why they didn't given the decline in interest of vinyl (among some) and idm (for want of a better phrase) at the time.
Tiz a lovely listen beginning to end, quality! - Edited 9 years agoA compilation which gives more than a unique painted veil of Ambient, IDM & Experimental melodies with a profound organic breath, it offers a significant exposure of these styles, dominated mostly by Martin Haidinger creations under numerous aliases (Abfahrt Hinwil, Gimmik, Num Num, Low Profile Society) and other great artist of the genre like Koordinate Of Wonders, Maps & Diagrams and Ochre. This is a compilation each and everyone should listen, especially by electronic music lovers.
- Edited 19 years agoEverying you might expect from a Toytroninc collection but on first pass this selection seems, quite apptly, to be a little more organic than predicted. Less glitchy and spikey, soothing bits of softly bubbling b lines (especially title track) and drawn out melodies.
