This album is pure music. The percussion, beats and bass line provide great primal ethnic rhythms. This is the very essence of tribal music, the kind of art that does not require some psychedelic stuff to make people get in a state of trance.
And no, this is NO noise music. Geez, if you want to listen to Geomatic or Phutureprimitive, well listen to Geomatic or Phutureprimitive. Which is kinnda good stuff actually.
Tzolk'in has its own personality, we don't want them to look like other musical tribal dub idm things, we want them to look like... well to look like Mayan or Aztec ambient rythmic music, that's all...
And thank you for that, Tzolk'in.

This album is not really a music. It's purely a percussion, beat and bass line. If I'd be a psychedelic music artist, I'd be tempted to compose some badass melodies for such a badass beats, because it's a shame to let it go waste.
Tzolk'in should really, really collaborate with someone who knows how to make a good tune. The result would overshadow not only Geomatic and Phutureprimitive, but all the psychedelic music scene that relies on wussy and cheesy ethno tunes. Some raw and dark tribal psybient would sweep the scene.
But I guess I'm talking to fans of noise.
