Reviews
- Never pressed in the states but who cares. This UK press from 1974 sounds absolutely stunning! This album along with Blue’s self titled from 73 and the lp after this one are also top notch.
This Particular lp will appeal to fans of the Laurel canyon scene, Neil Young, CSNY, the Eagles etc featuring beautiful harmonies, hooks and musicianship. How does an album this good go unnoticed? It’s shocking to me. Check out their big star/badfinger styled self titled too - Some sweet country-rock ("Sweet Memories"), a cool first album-style rocker ("Max Bygraves"), a great Marmalade-meets-Crazy Horse slow rocker ("Sad Sunday"), a delightful track with just an acoustic guitar, vocals and handclaps ("Lonesome"), and some loverly ballads as well, all wrapped-up in magic Scottish harmonies and a down-home, laid-back production style. Recommended!
