The whole record is fire. Things get underway with Total Concentration, an edgy back and forth between frenetic hi-hats and acid keys. There a couple of moments where the hi-hats drop out and its just keys. It's a great introduction. Deep Meditation rolls out next with its smooth chords with a fidgety rhythmic undercurrent. The chords are lovely and entrancing. Side B starts with a slightly muffled stomping cadence as the track builds with key stabs and layers of percussion. Chanting is delirious and frenzied but in a punctuated, exacting way. Precision and abandon all in the same track. This is what I love about D-Knox compositions - they're elegant, skillful but can be a bit bonkers as well.
