I hope this beautiful album and the first part of the trilogy gets reissued onto vinyl someday. The AKIRA vinyl sounds amazing, and I'd love for this to get the same treatment. Definitely similar sounds of course to the AKIRA suite, but a much more peaceful sound compared to the suite.

Ecophony Gaia is a journey. A magnificent and spiritual journey. This awesome mixture of Traditional Japanese Percussive music with Progressive Rock and Electronic New Age blends perfectly. Chaos starts out with a symphony of gamelans and ends off with MIDI experimentation and hard head nodding drums. Genesis features an amazing choir and breathless vocal work. Euphony is Japanese...like reeeeaally Japanese. It's a nice song if you're into that sort of thing. Catastrophe is reckless with progressiveness and is perfect to tap along to. The amazing vocal, synth pads, and thick electronic bass kicks. Disco is the best song on the album and probably Geinoh's heaviest. The Yamaha DX7 bass mixes in with epic and hard hitting percussion. I really like the guitar work and drums. Gaia is easy to fall asleep to. The vocal work is superb and deserves full attention. The half way point of Gaia is really cool with synths and drums. All together this album is awesome and is quite the journey. I would recommend this album fully. 5 out of 5 stars all the way.
