- Edited 4 months agoBought this on Planet Pacific when it was originally released and loved it so much. That was long since sold, and yesterday I got myself the OG release on Strictly. I got it for The Warning, but I think Final Frontier is IMO the best tune in here. Stood the test of time is an understatement!
- Edited 2 years agoMan! Final Frontier - This is a sweet record. It has such a nice groove too it. Percussive, then brings in great melodies… Really great! Glad I bagged a copy. Infectious, timeless
- ...era l'estate del 1990, in Grecia a Corfù, in discoteca, quando la musica iniziò con questa traccia. Sono impazzito per l'emozione. Semplicemente fantastica. Vera e semplice House Music - it was the summer of 1990, in Greece in Corfu, in the disco, when the music started with this track. I went crazy with emotion. Simply fantastic. Real and simple House Music -
- I've had this since early '91 . I found it by chance... it's a white label , only identification is PPAC-IT on runout .
- The Warning - If you don't have this in your collection then you are seriously missing out. Flip it over and The Final Frontier will blow your mind. Deep house at it's best
- Edited 9 years agoThe main melody used in "The Final Frontier" sounds suspiciously similar to the parts of the melody from the well known deep house classic Mr. Fingers - Can You Feel It.
- As a reviewer mentions below, this was probably reissued before 07. Or at a minimum there were 2 different versions printed. I have 2 copies that look like the pictures on this release and a third one that has a brighter red, smaller font and the publishing details consolidated with the cat# on the left side of the label.

Music is eternal and this record proves all.
It was times of racism , poverty and lack of education in New York city. many people couldn't get jobs because of their color skin or social background. so they went out to clubs and to the dance floor to forget reality.
The heavily pitched vocals of Eddie Maduro talk all about it:
The warning against discrimination among our society by taking it to phases, how everything starts.. "the seed is planted when opposite attract - Can you dig it?", phase two - "the flower blossoms through what seems to be a concrete surface i.e greed, racism, insanity - physical and social handicaps. these are the things that mold the flower..."
on the last paraphrase the lyrics try to put a mirror on the reader :
" The judgment: if it would have falling upon you today, which flower would you prefer to be - the red one or the black one?... this is the warning...Warning...WARNING"
it ends with a question mark to eliminate our pre justices and perceptions in growing society, it is like a disease, so we must take the warning. as you can see this record was highly poetical not also in a lyrical way but in an instrumental way.
Legendary Keyboard player – David Benus takes the piano at some point and makes it a beautiful solo journey of octaves and riff's. this performance carries into the second side of the record with The Final Frontier track, the guy is such a skilled technique keyboard player...
Today's scene need more records like these. - They re-issued this back in 96 I think, which is the copy I got, I remember it from that first Stricty Rhythm comp from back in 91. Epic deep house from a time when going deep was how to do it properly. Sampled by the Orb and loved by many.
Final frontier kinda sounds like a Larry Heard track. Good wholesome DEEEEEEEEEEP house made like it matters.
