- Edited 12 days agoSound - 5/5 definitive version of this album.
Color - 5/5 Nice red color, matches the blurryface theme.
Booklet - 1/5 Waste of space, like wtf were they thinking with the picture selection? most of it is just filler graphic designs, 3 or 4 pictures of them in concert which is why I gave it 1 star but then the rest are similar pictures of them putting their hands in front of their face or just weird/boring graphic designs.
They advertised "rare and behind-the-scenes images" -BS!!! maybe one "behind the scene image" and it's like a close up of their face.
the booklet is a cash grab scam.
The record liner doesn't even have a protective film, it's just black paper, like really? This is a piss poor effort. Compare this to the Britney Spears release that came out around the same time with the coffee book anniversary edition, the book has never before seen photos that were really nice and high def from original film, hads pages full of lyrics, the record sleeves has protective film liner, a big difference and what could have been if the team behind top put in a similar effort.
Only reason I am giving it a full 5/5 is for the sound and color of the record itself. It's a great pressing of it and in the end that's all that really matters. - Good sounding pressing, but nothing outstanding, it feels like it's missing that room filling umph and it's a tiny bit crackly, nothing too distracting though. The book is nice but it's honestly kinda lacking, none of the original album's special thanks section, not even the full lyrics for the album. The book came a bit... I don't know how to describe it, it looks like it's been used. pages have marks and dents, sometimes scratches. Honestly, not worth the money they were asking for this, especially compared to the packaging for the Vessel boxset, but I bought it because of the sentimental value this album has to me. I bet for a lot of people around my age (early 20s) this is the album that got them into music. Probably the first album they ever bought physically, I know it was the first CD I ever bought in 2016 (the first album I bought on vinyl was Vessel a year later). I've chased this band around the country, caught every tour they've done since 2017 (besides Clancy :( funds were low and tickets were way too expensive) and for me, the importance of getting this set isn't the book or having another pressing of this album, it's to tell myself I've made it almost 10 years with this band.
- It sounds good and I love Everything the band puts out but unfortunately there just isn’t anything special about the boxset unless you just want to collect everything.
- Edited 15 days agoKind of not that special… Love the red vinyl, but the book itself felt like 3 pages worth of content instead of 36… and the records are sleeved in thin, abrasive paper… I love this album, but this release is not a must-have.
- Meh, decent although had higher hopes after Vessel Anniversary was much better executed. Do better on Self titled 15 boyeeeeez
- Nice cover but a pretty content free and extremely slim "book". Not even song lyrics. Seriously overpriced for what it is and, as usual with Twenty One Pilots, UK buyers get seriously screwed over. USD 80 in the States equals UKP 90 thanks to Warner Bros price gouging.
