Reviews
- 5 stars all the way for this "plate", the first release from Delikatessen Records. Quality pressing on 161g 10" vinyl. Amazing ambient, idm, and minimal compositions from Jeff McIlwain. This release is simply put, a must have!
- Simply put: this 10" contains one of what I consider to be the upwards of the greastest Lusine Icl tracks known to mankind..."Sustain". With it's full intro complete with that static record noise Lusine used so well back then, to the prolific before it's time dubstep (is this where that came from??), to the out of no-where break in between, moving into the perfected melodic tendency of the Icl at the time, to the two minute long outro pushing emotion through the tech elements of the mind of a computer. This track stuns me, and those who I play it for and in front of, with beauty, intelligence, and flat out artistry every single time it touches my eardrums.
Funkstörung provides a heady hip-hop outlook on this of course, pulling the best elements from the song and making it completely Funkstörung all over again.
Also included: "In Flight". Another one of Jeff McIlwain's best ambient-IDM style endeavors. Find this release at all costs.
