A solid first album for Gerard! A couple of lackluster songs keep this from being a 5-star release, the ballad-esque 'Lasting Memory' and the second longest song, 'Incantation'. The main theme is a bit weak and the song overstays its welcome a bit, but the song gets a little stronger towards the middle to end.

With that being said, everything else is killer material. Meridian is the opening instrumental that really sets the tone for Orpheus, the song that the cover art depicts. Revenge is a blazing instrumental piece, while Melting Time is a superb prog closer with superb playing from the whole group.
