Reviews
- this release sounded less like a collection of remixes and covers and more like its own individual album. absolutely stunning
- Checking the Wikipedia page, it blows me away that this remix album gets such a low rating on the reviews. Starting with the catchy, bass exploration of Slipping Away up until the final glitched remix of Starfuckers Inc - Things Falling Apart is a MASSIVE and innovative remix album. I believe this album has left behind many fans of the more rock friendly TDS era - into an electronic depth they simply cannot comprehend (much like The Fragile did with many). Things Falling Apart is nothing short of an amazing and innovative album.
- This is the remix companion to the Fragile. This one takes a different direction, adding a cover Gary Numan's Metal and a version of "10 Miles High" a previously hard to find track. "Slipping Away" and "The Great Collapse" have some previously heard elements, but are almost brand new tracks. Dave Ogilvie returns once again and turns Starfuckers, inc into one of NIN best dance floor tracks. Bennelli also makes an appearance with their very awesome orchestral, yet electronic take on The Frail. Some of the remixes fall a little short of boring, but this one does shine. Not as well done as some of the other remix albums, but still recommended. 4/5
