A great example of soulfull New Beat, that will, believe me, one day or another be used for some ad or some fashion défilé, if only for the funny lyrics.
But, more important, not only this records pays tribute to the musical side of New Beat (heavy and low beats + synth bass, plus the new-wavish strings) but also to the fashion side of it : it let us remember how important was the look in this trend, and how belgian boys and girls were trying to create a fashion style too. Of course it was a bit ridiculous sometimes, and the covers of New Beat Take 1 to 4 is a good/bad example of it, but as this record shows it, it was at least inspiring.
As for the different mixes in this one, well, there are few notable dfifferences, and the Serge Ramaekers remix is still the best one, as he added some more synth basses in his trademark style.
