This was the second long play recorded in Quebec by American singer-songwriter, poet and Cajun rebel Zachary Richard.......who's been offering his zesty, unique fusion of traditional cajun, zydeco, rock, and New Orleans blues since the early '70s. Having settled in Quebec for most of the 70's, he recorded a handful of lesser-known (outside of Quebec) gems.
"Migration" is a superb album that can best be described as Quebec-Cajun progressive folk-rock led by Zachary Richard (lead vocals, acoustic guitar, piano, all compositions) and he's supported here by a veritable who's who of both Louisiana and Quebec artists:

Harmonium alumni Serge Fiori (uncredited), Denis Farmer (drums) and Robert Stanley (lead & rhythm guitars) along with Ville Emard Blues Band's Michel Seguin (percussion) and Michel Dion (bass), Octobre's Richard Beaudet (sax) and Jeff Fisher (synthesizer)........together ensuring a good dose of prog-friendly riffs (definitely, his most progressive album).

Also on board, handling the background chorus vocals, are Toulouse's Laurie Niedzielski (aka Lori Zimmerman) and Judi Richards ....as well as Alma Faye Brooks and a few of Zachary's friends from back home in Louisiana.....Bruce MacDonald & Dana Pierre Breaux (lead & rhythm guitars), Ronney Domingue (bass) and Kenneth Blevins (drums).
