Show All 27 Reviews- My son recently went out and came back with this pressing. Never knew he liked The Smiths or anything like that. I listened to this and I couldn't believe how good it was. It's clear why the band got so popular and why so many people want them to reform. All tracks sound distinctive and well worked. I can't believe it took me so long to notice!
- I really disagree with the praise for this one. I'm getting so much distortion. And it's getting worse and worse for each track. Bummer! And yes I've cleaned it several times. Will seek out an original press.
- Sounds absolutely fantastic. Maybe could’ve used a tiny bit more on the high-end, but otherwise I don’t have any complaints
- Due to [CURRENT WORLD EVENT] this record is getting harder to find - snagged a copy from a store in NY and it's a great pressing
- My first vinyl record i was very happy when i had the experience to get it was magic i would never regret…had to be The Smiths. For quality, exceptional and sealed
- This pressing really sounds great. Had two of the german first press, the sound is very weak without dynamics. Boring. The repress here is mastered and cut by Frank Arkwright from Abbey Road Studios. Possible a Half Speed Master record. The sound is very crisp with very nice tonality and great bass punch. The details here are stunning. The pressing is also fantastic without any pops or surface noise. Never heard that once hated album in that quality.
- flawless pressing and one of the best in my collection, wholeheartedly recommend picking this one up
- Very nice..no issues at all. Detailed, punchy and not massively compressed. No sibilance in my setup (rega p6 ania pro, aria phono)
- It‘s a good pressing except for some sibilance on the vocals and a little bit missing on the high end. Still nothing that affects the listening experience too much
