Show All 11 Reviews- The lacquer this record is pressed from is shit. Sibilants are totally out of control. The pressing quality is the usual shit Rainbo/United produces. Noisy vinyl and pops & crackles galore.
- Also have surface pops and clicks on a new copy, and some warping, which to be a consistent issue with this pressing.
- A bit of surface noise here and there but nothing crazy. Edge is weirdly sharp but it's not warped. Great album and happy with my copy.
- This record is really noisy and my copy is very warped. At one point on the first track it is warped enough the make the needle hop up and skip. Actual vocal and instruments sound great.
- agreed with previous comments. noisy pressing. cleaned with Audio Desk Pro before listening. still noisy. Going to have to buy another, better copy. Don't waste your money if you care about scratchies in the quiet passages. Disappointing
- Sonically? It’s great. In terms of pressing, oh my GOD it’s noisy. Whooshing between tracks, loud pops, plenty of sibilance and crackling like a worn down pressing from the 70s.
- So some thoughts on pre clean, there is surface noise but very little. Just time from time, not sure if the music is so loud you can barely hear it but it's not that bad. The dynamics on the record are great, vocals and instrumentals really hit you.
Now I'm going to run a clean on it to knock some of the minor noise out hopefully it doesn't make it worse (spin clean can do that time from time) but overall I'm satisfied for a $12 record. Not sure what the other guy is talking about it being sibilant and her hissing, the songs sound as they should. - I found this to be an absolutely dreadful pressing. Noisy, sibilant (she hisses all over the place! I've attempted three different cartridges to fix this but it still is prevalent). There is a place where the sound almost drops out and returns. I have a low bit-rate mp3 I downloaded back in the early 2000s that sounds better than this one!
