- Edited one year agoI had about the same experience as chimushi further down. At first listen i thought this Album has nothing special to offer. But some time later i recognized the dark and chaotic structures in the Sound, and this special kind of Hardness. It was then a very special desire, to listen to this Music. It's harshness and impelling sound creation was a lust to hear. I hope others also see this Album in a very positive Way. I'm not shure if The Prophecy, New Kind Of World, or Project Genesis is the best Album by MFG. But in the mood wich i am now, i would say, Project Genesis is the more mature Album, with more skills and a stronger and precizer Expression. Listen to that Album, it is really worth the time. Maybe it needs more than one start. AM.
- Edited 2 years agoYou have to be in the right mood for this release to hit you in a positive way. The first time I listened to it I really didn't resonate with any of the tracks, but on the second listen I felt more receptive to the depth that is trying to emerge in some of these tracks. Not so keen on owning it, but glad that I gave it a second listen. There are a couple tracks that caught my interest.
- Edited 5 years agoOne of my favourite goa albums.
It's a bit dark and chaotic but in a very good way.
I put it together with Astral Projection "Another World" and "Dancing Galaxy"
Favs - Project Genesis, Open Mind, Why(!), Sunshine(!). - Jaw had to be retrieved from ground. This release is not to be missed. An absolute tour de force in the goa genre. Dark, powerful and moving.
- Edited 18 years agoThis album marked a huge leap in terms of MFG. The music is here much more mature than The Prophecy and New Kind of World. The sound production is a whole lot better, the ideas and motives are solid and the style is harder and darker in contrary to the 2 previous albums which were considerably "lighter".
