Reviews
- One-off classic from the late 70s post-punk era of great UK anti-pop. Both sides of this single still sound ahead of the curve.
The A side with its vocodered and chorused vocals chanting the anthem of the band... and the exquisite B side which combines brilliant production with the most sublime melody of the era.
The only other Gerry & the Holograms single is a non-playable record (disc glued into the sleeve as a situationist joke).... so Absurd 4 represents a beautiful fragment of lost potential.
