- Was playing this at the T Room on Melrose in the early 90's. Heard a voice say "Chic, they are the Led Zeppelin of disco!" Looked up, and it was David Lee Roth. I said "Yes, I guess you could say that." He then told me he was meeting Nile Rodgers in a ltlle bit, and then requested "Car Wash"!
Nile did indeed show up a little while later!
The next day I realized that Eddie Van Halen is sampled on the flip. Made me wonder....did DLR & NR make this record???? LOL. - When i first heard this on a Carl Cox at angels tape in 1994 i was hooked on oldschool house. Bom Bom.
- Everyone used to go absolutely mental when this came on. The anticipation when the first "bom bom" came in the mix. Massive rush tune.
- This was one of the MOST significant records to my collection in the 90s..in fact I have 13 ufg records now..they're all so amazing!
