Sounds excellent to my ear. Clear across the spectrum, no flaws. Bass are ok. Really good.

        An amazing record.
        Simply perfect.
Once you spin the record on turntable, you might listen to it until the end without skipping any song.

Stumbled on this pressing in the wild and snatched it up. It sounds utterly amazing with just phenomenal mastering. Pressings don’t get better than this.

Mine has considerable inner groove distortion on the last minutes of 'Alexander The Great'. Anyone else has this problem?

Had this album on CD, a good CD for years but after picking up this press in a shop in nearly mint shape, I'm newly blown away by it. Iron Maiden's best to me will always be the release that followed this one, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, but this might be my new second favorite. This album sounds great obviously, but there's so much background that's straight up lost on even a good quality CD. Masterpiece!

A great pressing, zero surface noise between songs. You actually forget it's not the CD!
This 1986 release by Iron Maiden is still the best thing they ever did and 35 years later, the whole record sounds tremendous. All metal classics, no fillers!

For me this is where the wheels started to fall off for Iron Maiden. I'm just not a fan of the keyboards & there are some really cheesy songs on it. After the first three songs I just have to move on. Even a band as great as Iron Maiden can toss out a stinker every once in awhile.

I was at the record store the day it hit the shelves to pick up this copy. "Somewhere in Time" was a great follow-up to "Powerslave" with almost all the epicness of that concept.

"You can't play heavy metal with synthesizers...", explained Bruce Dickinson to a Polish fan once. This is the first Maiden album that incorporates synth sounds, and to good effect.

Adrian Smith gets several writing credits on this album, which is a good thing. Also, Nicko McBrain has finally come into his own and absolutely crushes it on drums. Highlights include "Wasted Years" and "Sea Of Madness". Overall, the songs are not as strong as Powerslave nor Piece Of Mind, but the playing has gotten tighter, as one might expect with a now fully mature lineup. Gee, I sure hope nobody leaves the band anytime soon.

Recording quality has improved over Powerslave if that is even possible. Mixing is super clean, powerful and punchy. Some '80s chorusing on the clean guitars. Great mastering. Even quiet bits are loud, lol.

This pressing sounds marvelous, especially when cranked loudly, which is the intended use, after all.

                      Recommended.
