There have been a million Black Metal albums released since the 80s. Yet few manage to define the genre so succinctly as this utterly brilliant record. This, along with Bathorys "Under The Sign Of The Black Mark", Dark Thrones "A Blaze In The Northern Sky", Burzum "Burzum" and White Medals "Agbrigg Beast". Which have all managed at one time or another, to make a certain stamp on the genre that few bands can only dream of aspiring to. Icey cold guitars with brutally fast blast beats pushed into prosterity by the most worst of worst production qualities. Insane from start to finish, Certainly Immortals magnum opus out of all their extensive catalogue of releases.

May require a few playthoughs in order to train the ear to it's manic pace and blistering furious riffing. I remember 20+ years ago, this album giving me a headache on more than one occasion (lol). Bringing some truth to the term "So damn good it hurts".

    Get it !

Simultaneously the beginning and the end.
norsk soul whirlpools gyrate...and ravens are indifferent..."...from the borg to the sky...", mongolian "throat" singing.
saw them in Holland in uh '96(?) they were k.i.l.l.e.r., the jheri-curled imp's feet a-dangle.
after this album the holocaust becomes contaminated by inspired kindreds.
now there's skulls on childrens' clothes in Target (american franchise).
soon, only nazi music seems bad enough to make you feel right.
