Released just as the artists career was turning a new page, this short compendium of Adam Ant's work is brief but effective. Although not mentioned in the notes the first half of the compilation features songs from his time with his band Adam And The Ants, though they did skip his early post-punk roots and go straight for the hits which is a bit of a shame but if you were only after his more well known stuff I spose it works in your favour. Included are the thundering 80's hits 'Stand & Deliver', 'Dog Eat Dog' and 'Price Charming' as well as later hits like 'Goody Two Shoes', making sure to remind all who listen that Adam Ant was the Clown Prince of New Wave. Since it's release 'Hits' has been obscured by many compilations which feature a more comprehensive view of his back catalogue, but if you're looking to capture some nostalgia or give his work a go for the first time this is a welcome and affordable alternative.
