Very good quality pressing and recording for this mixed Christmas compilation - ever so slightly cheesy in the best possible way to get you in the mood on a Christmas Eve.

When this album came out in 1975, all but one of the songs had been recorded just a few years ago. The exception is Nat King Cole. The song by Tony Orlando, Little Heads in Bunk Beds, was a brand new song but had nothing to do with Christmas. On the liner notes they say that the children were being sung to on Christmas Eve. You can imagine that if you want, but it is a touching song nonetheless. Because of all the melodies included, a very large number of Christmas songs are packed into this album. Among them, Sugar Plum Fairy, God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman, Here We Come A-Caroling, Panis Angelicus, Ode to Joy and Carol of the Bells, among others.
