Reviews
- Does anybody know which version of White Riot was recorded first? The UK version or the US version? According to Wikipedia the US version is a rerecorded version. ..I'm not sure about that since that version is the 7" single version which was released in march 1977 before the uk version Clash lp was released. ..anybody know out there?
- Edited 20 years agoAlong with 'Anarchy in the UK' and 'New Rose' the quintessential UK punk debut, the band sounded young and hungry. Strummer sounds like he is ready to storm the barricades at any moment. 'All the power is in the hands, of the people rich enough to buy it' he snarls. On the flip he states 'No Elvis, Beatles or the Rolling Stones...in 1977', a sentiment that many would agree with.
