While I cannot disagree that this release is a catchy and well-produced pop song, I cannot help to think that in this day and age, it is quite a bit racisty. This is because it implies that all Egyptians walk in that funny way that is demonstrated in the promotional video. But when I visited Egypt recently, I did not see even ONE Egyptian walking in the way that the Bangles suggest that they do. They just walked normally. The Bangles, if you are reading this, please consider releasing an amended version, with revised lyrics that don't mention Egyptians. Alternatively, you could please make a new version of the promotional video, showing Egyptians just walking normally.
