Reviews
- I don't usually say this but I don't think it would be worth going to the MoFi pressing. It's hard to justify the price difference.....how much better do you need then this pressing? I was introduced to Bill Withers with this CD many, many years ago and I felt like I was pretty intimate with how it sounds and was blow away by how this pressing is so much more dynamic then the CD I have been listening to all these years.
Music On Vinyl does it again. I haven't heard a bad pressing from them yet. - Just a super pressing of a fantastic concert by Bill Withers. This, in my opinion, is the version to own. Amazing sound!
- I strongly disagree with the aforementioned reviews about his 2 LP set. The crowd noise is completely overpowering. The audience is louder than the band. The performance is great. The vinyl is quality. The mix and mastering of this recording is terrible. True, it’s a “Live” recording but what’s the objective here? To record the audience or the performance of the artist? The audience applause during the duration of Use Me makes the band nearly inaudible. Very disappointed in the mix. Could and should have been WAY better. The quieter songs sound a bit better. The lengthy Use Me sounds like an audience Bootleg. Bought this on the previous reviews and a big mistake that was. Buyer beware.
- As others have said, this is a phenomenal pressing of an amazing album! Dead silent, dynamic, and beautiful vinyl. Excellent packaging too with sturdy gatefold and poly sleeves. Music on Vinyl does it again!
- Man, what a cool cat Bill Withers was and a pure joy to listen to this live album that sounds wonderful. It certainly plays dead quiet and happy I purchased this.
- I wish I knew who mastered this pressing, and where the wax was cut, because it sounds unreal good. Like, stellar. Strong dynamic range, and dead quiet. I mean, dead quiet, it's stunning.
