- Tek Trak isn't meant for home-listening, it is a DJ Tool, when for switching between techno to breaks, or vice-versa, in a set.
- Riff heard at 1:33 on Tek Trak is sampled from The Stalk on this release https://www.discogs.com/Black-Widow-The-Kiss-Of-Death/release/100779
- Edited 5 years agoI think Tek Track is a weak choon, a bit slower tempo too, We Are Unity is where it's at, the instrumental for me, great intro for the mix, every crossfader DJ's treat, then the choon is saved at 3:42 with a gorgeous break, it takes it in a different direction as so many breakbeat records did in 93, 1993 was the best and final year for the breakbeat genre as we'd come to know it, 1994 it all went down hill, then of course came the horrible and vile sound of happy hardcore.
- I actually prefer the Unity Instrumental Version to that of the Vocal Version, Phil Wells told me Jumping Jack Frost said to him that you've got to put a Vocal on the Unity track, Phil did so and the rest is history, Phil told me that track also made a lot of money, both sides of this twelve are superb and Tek Trak was caned by Dj Ratty amongst many others, still really strong tunes today like most of the Basement Records Releases,
