- for 2022 repress see https://www.discogs.com/release/25823950-Blur-13
need more words word . - The 2023 repress is identical to all the previous versions of the 2012 reissue. It sounds great. Delighted to have a copy for a reasonable price.
~Edited to reflect the fact it *isn’t* identical. See discussion below - Edited 2 years agoCurious as to why this didn’t get repressed like the others, which seemed to be pressed in greater quantities and for longer? Along with Parklife, probably one of their most popular releases and the Parklife reissue has had numerous represses. It makes you wonder if there was an issue with the metalwork and maybe it was damaged? Seems strange and I can only imagine it needs a recut otherwise we would have seen it come back into stock like the others?
- Edited 5 years agoInstead of mine stating ℗ 1999 The copyright in this sound recording is owned by EMI Records Ltd.
© 2012 EMI Records Ltd, it rather states OWNED BY PARLOPHONE RECORDS LTD, 2012 PARLOPHONE RECORDS LTD.
MARKETED AND DISTRIBUTED BY PARLOPHONE. PRINTED IN THE EU.
Also on the front cover it has the same clear sticker as found on the original 1999 vinyl release and A WARNER MUSIC GROUP COMPANY printed on labels.
All other numbers/info match up besides these above mentioned differences. Should I create a new release? - Music pressing is great, shame the artwork looks like it was blown up from the CD, especially as they have bothered to emboss the inner picture sleeves.
- Edited 7 years agoI feel like there's a lump on a certain bass frequency that makes it very resonant, the selftitled for example is much more flat (and pleasing). It also seems like there are slight distortions from the factory, throughout the whole record, popping scratching sounds.
- Incredible on wax. I still can't choose over this, self-titled, Modern Life Is Rubbish and Think Thank but I think my favourites change over time any way.
