A lot of people prefer the “naked” version of Let It Be, but I’ve always loved the original album. This is a great pressing which is relatively easy to find, although I paid a little bit more than I probably should have for an beautiful copy while on vacation.

I bought this sealed from Monster Music about 5 years ago. I hated opening it, but records are made to play, so I played! This version sounds awesome, I’ve compared to multiple records, and I thought this one sounded best. Super minty

Found a copy where the record survived but the sleeve definitely didn’t lol.

What a stellar release, it sounds fantastic with a good soundstage and clear vocals. I prefer this over any reissue, such a classic album and forever will be.

So here it is: The Last Beatles Album Ever. Even though Abbey Road was recorded after this one, this was the one contemporary fans heard last. It came out a couple of months after they announced their breakup, so it was a bittersweet release. More than half the album is made up of timeless tracks, never to be forgotten. Even their fall-back rock-n-roll standards are highly enjoyable. Fortunately, each Beatle would be able to explore their own spheres throughout the 70s, and so the music never really ended. But to expect anything out of these four lads who had done so much for popular music, and for each had grown to become a musical personality in their own right... it was time to take the advice of the title track, and look to the future.

Got this very clean sounding older copy for just six bucks today. Listening now and it's a nice solid pressing, good punchy drums and plenty of lows.

Highlights here are "Across the Universe", "Let It Be", "The Long And Winding Road", and "Get Back". Brilliant writing by these masters. Too bad it was not to last.

I actually picked up this first pressing the other day at my friend's antique store. The reason? Watching "Get Back" on Disney+. So, I put on Abbey Road, then this (since both albums seem to have quite a few songs featured in this wonderful documentary. Cleaned them up really well and they sound so good!
