- Mine has no sticker on front, first pressing on the back but black labels instead of blue. Who knows if they had more covers than vinyl or more vinyl than labels? Labels ain’t blue so it ain’t a 1st. Something to be on the look out for if you’re trying to go for the first pressing with blue labels.
- Bewitched, one of Luna's finest and most dreamy albums was finally released on vinyl by Gotta Groove Records in a limited edition of 1500 copies. Now ... 4 of the copies were Test Pressings, and they would randomly be handed out to those who pre-ordered this bit of wanderlust. Needless to say, I was holding my breath during the two months it took from pre-order to delivery. Finally on the 27th of August there was a package inside my courtyard ... but not just an ordinary package, oh no, this was a package that held a record, a package that was literally bent in half and crushed. Of course the Post Office would take non of the responsibility for this mess, though a call to Gotta Groove Records, along with pictures seemed to resolve the issue. They assured me that a new copy would be on the way. While I had them on the phone I asked who the lucky recipients of the this test pressing were, and they assured me that it was random, that they had no knowledge. I then asked if they wanted me to send back this mess or what. Matt said to keep it, and play it if possible. After hanging up the phone I opened my copy, and low and behold, there was a Test Pressing in my little hands ... I was one of the lucky four ... but mine was bent ... #@*&. I'd won, and the post office had stolen it from me. Never the less, I put my gem beneath a heavy book to bake under the New Mexican sun, and sure enough, sort of, it flattened out enough to play. I'm not certain if the story makes it all that much better or not, but I have one of four, and in any condition, its a treasure for me.
Oddly enough, with all this luster and concern, no on thought to include the song "Sucking Ice Cubes," which only shows up on the Japan CD release of Bewitched.
*** The Test Pressing is denoted by blank labels affixed to the record that indicate a test pressing, along with time and dates. There is no album name, no tracking, or other information. [see posted image]
