Listening to this now it's pretty amazing how by 87 all of the typical house sounds and samples had already been established. Honestly, I don't think C&C get the recognition they deserve, probably because they became very commercial but their production style did really take house to the next level.

Bruce Forest: “ This was not a medley. It was an effort by mainly Better Days DJs to put on vinyl what we did live at the club. Dave Morales and Rob Clivilles were my Thursday DJs, I did the other four nights.

David Cole was a club regular, and this is well before he was a producer, or well-known at all. I used to play and David would play keyboards over me. It drove the crowd nuts. Adonis was often the perfect bed for David and me. He came in and played with Dave and Robert too, and the jamming over house/soul music started there. This record was inspired by those many, many fun sessions we all had playing with David.”

while house music doesn't lend itself to edits [of the shotgun variey] as well as freestyle or electro, nonetheless some top work here from the Dominican himself [Chep Nunez]
