- Edited 9 months agoThis would've been Taylor's 2nd official studio album had his former major label (lsland Records) not decided to shelve it at the time and force him to put out a more 'commercial' effort instead (2000's 'Lewis II'). It's still my No. 1 favorite of his to this day and such a near-perfect listen all the way through. ALL of the man's musical talents are on full display here! Glad he was still able to release this unsung gem independently several years later because my collection would've been truly 'lost' without it (pun intended, lol). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, FOLKS!!!

Very much wish this were on vinyl. "Leader of the Band" is his best song and is also an outstanding musical homage to Brian Wilson. Maybe the best one I've ever heard.
Looks like the artwork got lost too! Would be nice to see on Vinyl one day
