Love this record though the snare is definitely too loud in some songs. Bass guitar is also overly muted. Production issues aside, it’s a classic. Drummer (likely their live drummer at the time) is listed in the credits but this record was clearly made with a drum machine, which is fine. I’ve always loved the blunt mechanical edge of The Lorries that the drum machine provided.

Not sure how some people want to label this is as industrial. It's as Post Punk and Goth Rock as it gets, but not Industrial. Good record anyway!

There is no way that this album is new wave. It is definitely the start of industrial including Sisters of Mercy, Skinny Puppy, Ministry and Fields Of The Nephilim. I should know since I saw them all live during the 80's...
