This may be a dime a dozen on discogs, still it's one heck of a great audiophile format.
This is about what vinyl can do to music:to deliver it in such ways that the listener ultimately will have a smile on their face.
No need to go into details here:Great music, fabulous mastering and cutting plus a most proficient job by the pressing plant make this particular release a must-own.

I bought this when originally released off the back of "Good Tradition", I think before "Twist...." was released? Anyway, it was definitely one of those albums that you could listen to right through and then start all over again. I had no idea what the dickens most of it was about lyrically because it seemed she'd simply adopted Bowie's cut n paste method of songwriting. But no matter, the melodies were strong enough to carry through and her deep, unique enunciation was both compelling and intriguing in equal measure. Roll on the decades and it's still an album to simply put on and enjoy all over again. I saw her tour in support of this album and she showcased some new tracks that eventually ended up on the equally worthy 'Sweet Keeper'.

Great dynamic sound, with a lot of detail.
            The vinyl is dead quiet.

Not normally my cup of tea but I ended up with this album in my collection somehow and played it as I couldn't afford to buy more LPs.
Roll on thirty years and it still gets played and have just replaced it with the reissue. It's just a good album and Valentine Heart is a masterpiece.
