Reviews
- The US original will always be the most collectable version because it sounds amazing and THE BAND is from the US.
- Sterling stampers, Specialty pressing. This sounds exactly the same as the 1991 Vertigo (Europe) release, pressed by PRS Baarn.
Same amplitude, same sound, same everything because same Sterling matrices: https://ibb.co/NKt5VSv - This is the ONE. No pressing is better. The 2008 is not, the simply vinyl is not, the latest pressing certainly isn't. Buy this record and thank me later lol. This is the Nirvana Nevermind of Metal. Iconic, rare, punchy af pressing. Couldn't be happier to have one in NM shape.
- Sounds insanely good compared to any of the other versions out there. One of the best sounding records ever made as far as I’m concerned, worth every penny
- Only 5,000 were printed for this first Elektra release. Bought used copy in March 2014 played it a few times. Definitely amazed of how the value has gone up 30 + years.
- Edited 2 years agoThis album is very special to my teen years. This album in a first press USA Elektra was shockingly very rare as most people, including myself, bought this on cd or cassette when it came out so that's why its so rare.Yes I had to have the original first pressing as Im funny about that and I admit I was blown away with hearing this on vinyl! And more than any other I can say as I've heard it only digitally for decades. It was very warm and crisp, I was so satisfied I want another copy in better condition as my copy I just bought has been loved many times. If you find this USA Elektra first pressing at a decent price GET IT and quick!
- Best pressing tied with 2008 Warner/ Universal box set. Has better bottom end than 2008 box set but everything else is comparable. And I love the 2008 box set because it has a very clean sound with magnificent bass. This does too. There’s just something slightly better about it but they’re both really solid pressings. If you’re willing to pay a little extra get this, otherwise get the 2008 box set, especially if it’s at a good price. They’re both cool.
- Always been a fan of the massive sound on this album, but it’s made even better on vinyl. I haven’t owned any other versions, but this pressing sounds spectacular on my system!
