Reviews
- It's not listed above but I have an Irish pressing reissue on the Parlophone label (2 box EMI) not sure of its year.
- Can anyone help. I have 2 albums. Both appear to fit this first release. One has a red lettered P on the record label on side 1. The other doesn't have this. One cover has slightly bigger writing on the spine. Could anyone help identify which is the first pressing and what the"P" stands for.
- Could anyone willing to sell just an inner sleeve please shoot me a PM? I already have the poster and postcard I just need this one thing.
- What kind of poster was included in the original UK Vinyl Release ?
Thanks
Oh, by the way STILL A GREAT ALBUM
GOD BLESS YOU JOHNNY - A record worth 5/5 stars just for George Harrison playing slide guitar on John's sonic blue Fender Stratocaster on "How Do You Sleep?"
- I have a copy but the inner is a transparent poly sleeve with "Important Notice" EMI text - does this mean the printer inner is missing or that its release just never had one? I think the latter as the postcard and poster are mint condition and it would surprise me that the inner had been lost. (I inheriteed this from someone admirably careful with their records).
Got one, Made in Sweden on label. Matrix 7C 062 04914A. Plain white inner, no poster or postcard. Not on discogs.- I had SEALED UK issue with matt cover. I opened to check the press and I found matrix from 1st press:
Matrix / Runout (Variation 1: B-side run-out, stamped): YEX 866-1U
Matrix / Runout (Variation 2: A-side run-out, stamped): YEX 865-2U
Wow! So if you have matt cover it maybe 1st press and not re-press of 80th. - 35years have passed away since music really really died or did it ,the answer is no one more more missed legend of John God Lennon .He scared the shit and crap out of the authorities and I will always never ever forget what John God Lennon did in his time on planet earth .The writing skills are still in a class of there own, compare it to the total non entities of now eg boy bands, hip hop just absolutely nothing nothing to at all phones fakers z rated ,Compared to politicians, bankers, modern day corporate cripples and yuppies what do they stand for absolutely nothing,to leave a lasting legacy.John will be remembered this lot won't .Paul McCartney misses him desperately,Yoko and Sean Julian all still miss the shoes that will never never be filled. When this planet especially today needed John God Lennon his music, caustic brilliant comments mean more than today than the corporate money shagging bankers, politicians, and ANALysts who have the charm of what flows through the sewers.Today's kid's shouldn't be brainwashed by this lot .Listen to the badge, listen to the music he left ,listen to Working class hero made in 1970s if any anthem of music la so caustic to the core it's this for the generations of the future.Bye for now a real lover of true true bastard music.
